Fat Loss through Nutrition – Kyle’s Story
Nutrition is HUGE when it comes to Fat Loss.
I have an addictive personality, which in this case, has helped me physically and mentally. Around the time I stopped competitively swimming at University of Delaware, I was mentally drained from the years of extremely large amounts of training that it took to excel. I stopped working out and began to eat anything and everything. I quickly gained over 40 pounds, all bad weight.
It finally hit me one night when I laid down to bed having a sharp pain in my heart. I had gone to my favorite burger restaurant to eat my normal, one-pound cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake. This wasn’t what I should have been feeling in my 20s. I was chronologically in the prime of my life but felt much older. I made the decision right there that things would have to change. I drastically picked up my workouts, training twice a day, lifting in the morning and a cardio exercise later in the day, but continued to eat the way I wanted. I figured I was working out more, so I could eat whatever I wanted. I saw small results, but not what I was looking for.

I finally gave in to the fact that NUTRITION could be the missing piece to the fat loss puzzle. I sought guidance on how and when to eat certain types of food and developed a set schedule when I would eat, and I kept to it! The bad weight just shed right off me! My workout performance went up, I felt great, and my weight dropped. What type of fuel I was putting into my body REALLY DID change how it operated. Now, when I have a “cheat meal” my body let’s me know. I can really tell a difference when I am putting crap into my body, it’s basically made me no longer even crave that stuff.

Getting into this routine can be very difficult, especially without proper guidance. But when you do get set up, it becomes second nature. I wound up losing over 55 pounds in a relatively short amount of time, gaining a large amount of strength and breaking a Guinness World Record in the process. With the right healthy balance of what you are putting into your body and how you push your body to the limits in your workouts, the results are limitless.
